What a fantastic day! We launched live streaming and projection upgrades at Hamilton Church of Christ this morning… hundreds of people reached who otherwise would not have been able to worship or learn about the Lord’s church.
Thank you to the elders, deacons, ministers, and the members of this fine congregation who made this all possible – I am honored and humbled for your trust in me to bring you this evangelism tool. I pray this work will bring glory and honor to God for many years to come.
For those of you who are interested in the equipment and software I installed here at Hamilton, here is an overview:
- 3) PTZOptics 20X-SDI-G2 with NDI upgrade cameras, wall mounted throughout the auditorium
- Controlled with a PTZOptics IP Joystick controller
- A custom-built live streaming computer powered by vMix with shortcuts accessed through a X-Keys USB controller
- A custom-built computer running ProPresenter 6 to offer greater control of video, pictures, and PowerPoint slides displayed on the projector
The neatest part of this project? No traditional video cables. Only one Cat6 ethernet cable was run to each camera – that cable provides power, control and video to and from the camera. Video is ingested into the live streaming computer by ethernet through the gigabit switch, and the joystick controller controls each camera. vMix also has PTZ control of each camera, allowing us to set an unlimited number of preset views for each camera, all of which can be accessed with the touch of one button on the programmable X-Keys USB control panel.
