I miss travel agents…

By |

cd-travel-agentI ran across an article that made me think of you and the Youversation project I’m about to open up. The article was about the growing number of Internet services that offer HUMAN assistance.

Take, for example, a new service in private development right now called Lola. The service allows people who want to book a trip to simply send a text message. It can be something vague, like “My family wants to go to Europe this summer” or something more specific — it doesn’t matter, because the person answering you back on the other end of that text message is another human being.

The agent knows your general travel preferences and has access to many of the same tools you’d use to book a trip. But the agent also has something extra — experience and data to help make decisions about the kind of trip you should take.

How awesome is that? That sounds so much more efficient and effective than me and my wife spending weeks on the Internet searching for travel accommodations and things to do… a “handcrafted” solution built just for me.

This business model reminds me so much of the goal of Youversation. As I mentioned to you over the past few weeks, I want Youversation to be THE place where we help you solve your problems.

And solutions won’t be cookie cutter, either. This is not a “one-size fits all” online course, but rather a community where we help each other meet our unique needs with custom solutions.

I’m excited, and I hope you are, too.

Watch this space for more news on that soon. In the meantime, I hope you have a very Merry Christmas. God bless you and thank you for your support of me, my family, and my team here at Cross Digital. We appreciate you more than you will ever know.

Dennis
